About the event
Open to both experienced potters and as an experience day for complete novices who have never tried before. You’ll be able to try 3 different techniques: glazing, saggar and horsehair. Several glazes are available to try, plus underglazes, wax resist- lots of opportunities to experiment!
Bring up to 3 of your own bisque fired pieces - grogged clay works best - or for non potters, purchase pieces from me. Price between £8-£15 per piece.
Also:
- Bring packed lunch for outdoor picnic in our lovely garden overlooking fields of rescued horses;
- Tea, coffee and cold drinks available all day.
- Wear no nylon or easily flammable clothing, bring an apron if you like. —Safety gear (goggles, gloves and tongs) provided when required.
